Prop 39 Draft Project Guidelines Released; Public Workshops Announced

The California Energy Commission (CEC) has just released the Prop 39 draft project guidelines for public comment. As directed by the June 2013 adopted budget regarding the Prop 39 – California Clean Energy and Jobs Act funds, the CEC is tasked with developing the project guidelines that must be followed by all K-12 public school districts in order to receive their Prop 39 funding allotments. The release of the draft guidelines is an important step in the implementation of Prop 39 and the ultimate effort of getting Prop 39 dollars out to schools for energy savings and job creation. The draft guidelines will not become final until the CEC adopts the guidelines at a publicly noticed hearing.

In addition to the release of the draft guidelines, the CEC has announced public workshops and webinars to solicit input from all stakeholders. The public is invited to attend, below is the schedule of the upcoming workshops and webinars:
